how do you lower the rear of your 172 with coilovers??

I have fitted FK coilovers but not sure about raising/lowering the rear - do I have to disconnect the shock in order to give the less tension on the platform from the spring or is it ok to adjust when the car is jacked up - will the spring dig into the thread on the platform?

There should be an adjustable mount for the rear, if not then your ride height is set at one position. iirc

just jack it up and turn the adjuster with the c-spanner

shock doesnt need to come off the trailing arm

possible depends on where you jack it. if you jack it on the back axle they probably will

I found it quicker to hold the rotating collar in place with a C spanner and then use a wrench to turn the bolt underneath the spring platform
