How do you replace the wiper stalk?

Can anyone help with this, the trip button/end part of the stalk is broke, its still works but its as if a spring inside is broke so it is pushed out always then when driving makes an anoying rattle. Iv bought a new wiper stalk but just tried to see how i will fit it and cant work it out.

i have removed the underwheel column thing but the cd changer stalk is stopping it come free. So how do i move this, and then how do you remove old wiper stalk?

any help is greatly appreciated

I'm pretty sure it's a steering wheel off jobbie.

remove top and bottom cowl, then I think it may be T20 or T15 to remove the stalk from squib housing.

Then everything else will make sense from there.


to free the media stalk remove top cowl then insert a flat headed screwdriver into a clip that holds it in from the top

Ah really?
Ive got an aftermarket wheel on but really don't fancy taking it off and messing with the squib as they can so easily brake.

it may be accessible if you have a ratchet spanner with torx bit it to remove the stalk from squib.

It's a piece of piss with the wheel still on.
