how do you stip the hub to get to the brake shoes/pads

as above, need to get to the pads/shoes as there is a problem with handbrake and rear brakes, my car is up on the jack as we speak.

any help much apreciated

take the wheel off, then in the centre there shud b a cap put a flat head screw driver in behind the little lip, hit with a hammer slowely and the cap should pop off, then theres a big nut behind it which you have to take off

cheers, just tried a flat head in the little grove but didnt want to break it, ill go and have another go now.

Isnt it a Castle Nut behind the Cap tho ?

just took the 30mm bolt off, how do i get in side now, tried riggling it off but no joy. help

hit with a hammer gently (sp?) and pull towards yourself and it should come off

hub puller if you have one, if not big flat blade screw driver and lever it off, rotate, lever, rotate, lever etc etc

got them off with a screwdriver and a hammer, 3 off the pads had come off and one leaky cylinder, having 4 new pads and 2 new cylinders
