How do you take out the cd changer cable??

As above on a mk2 172.

I've had a quick look at it looks like it runs along the trim along the sill.

How do I get at it to take it out???

From what i've heard its a bit of a b*stard to get out , dash off job i think .

Thats why you see the changers for sale and not the leads !

Not too hard. Take off drivers side bottom trim pannel and top dash. You should see how the cable feeds, its clipped in on the loom in the drivers well. Unclip and gentley feed it back.

I had to leave it in my 172, it was clipped somewhere under the dashboard top, around the airbag. To get it out I would have had to remove the top of the dash and I didn't want to risk that.

The cables cost £86 from Renault so it's worth getting it out if you can.

They're like rockin horse sh*t .

I phoned a couple of Renault garages , they wouldn't sell the cable on its own , only as a package with the multi changer .
£300 for the lot

Well if anyone needs one, got the ful lot, standard HU, changere and cable for 2000 plate 172!

F*ckin Renault again tellin their pork pies . Two dealerships told me that you " can't " buy the lead on its own .

Probably just after people parting with more of their hard earned .

I was after a lead for an update list head unit , Don't think there is one available for that head unit is there ? Its a different connection so i'm lead to believe to the tuner list head unit .
