how do you tell if alloys are good quality

says it in the title really. found some i like, but there not sold in many places so how can i tell if there good quality. if there not, is it just gonna mean that there gonna weather really bad etc ?

best way to be sure you get a decent alloy is to buy a known brand I'm afraid.
