Would it be to lose the keyed ignition and replace with a push button start and ign on switch. Car is a ph1 clio 172 stripped out for track use, only ask as ours is throwing out some very random key codes and causing immobiliser to remain on
My knowledge of clios is limited at the moment as we haven't had the car long, but probably would look to remove immobiliser all together as it is purely a track car and is not used on the roads at all, most of the time the car will start but then we get the alarm countdown bleeper before the alarm goes off whilst engine is running, or just by pressing the key button the immobiliser light on dash still flashes and car won't start, we've found that by turning key whilst pressing key button car starts as normal but obviously we don't want this issue to keep occurring.
if possible I'd like to remove or bypass immobiliser permanently but I don't know how this system works with the cars ecu, any advice would be greatly appreciated
