How easy would it converting 182 back from full track back to road

  CLIO 182 CUP TURBO
Ive recently bought a track spec clio but i would like to make it more of a fast road set up. Basically wondering how easy it would be to re install radio/heating etc but keep the cage etc the same. Also tempted to ditch the PMS shifter as to rattly for me so what would be a good alternative?

Fairly easy as most of the parts are shared with the non RS.

If the dash loom is still all intact but dash removed/ modified just get a dash from a non RS, you will need a climate control heater box and control panel if these have been removed. Or you could likely use a non interior loom and move over to manual heating.

Interior plastics are all the same as a non RS.

The carpet in the RS is thicker with a thicker underlay, but again a non RS carpet will fit and most wouldn't even notice the difference

Seats are RS specific but again you can fit non RS

Easy to install a set of door cards and speakers if the wiring is still there, if the speaker wires have been removed you will need door looms, 10 minutes a side to fit

Shifter wise there is the scenic shifter but I've no experience on it, will be well covered by a search on here though

All depends how r****d they've went when preparing the car, some chop wires, remove brackets etc which would be a pain, might be best just be best selling on and getting another.

Or as said if its not to bad, you can find a whole base spec car and just rob all the bits from that, although they are not so easy to find as they were 5yr ago, most are scrapped 🫣

Mine has a cage and buckets, but i did it so it could easily be put back standard if required and kept the old parts.
