How hard is it to fit an alarm ?

  Skoda Fabia vRS
basically my leaking sun roof is going to end up fuckin up the OE alarm/central locking, so im lookin at fitting a new alarm that has central locking control......

the OE alarm/central locking has become dodgy the last few weeks and i cant rely on it

money is tight though so i was thinking of fitting it myself.......taking the dash apart etc i dont mind doing, done it before loads of times......however how do you figure out what wire does what when fitting it to the OE loom ?

It'd be a swine (especially for a CAT1) - definetly a job for someone who knows what they are doing (if you want it to be useful).

a job for a qualified pro really.

what's the alarm?

some CAT 1's don't even come with instructions as the system needs to be installed by a trained tech for the 'cat 1' status to be valid.

...swines, i know. :(

fuckin money money money these cars, no let up

not bothered if its Cat1 or not......spent loads on a Cat1 last time only to find bugger all insurance companies care if its Cat1 or not, as long as its alarmed

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
Brun, well worth looking into the cheaper end of the market if ur not too fussed about Cat1 Status.

Dads business has installed reasonably basic alarms, for customers (look for something well spec'd with shock sensor?)

OK there cheap, but they do work well, and do act as a deterant. Gives the impression u have a fancy system anyways

Whos going to bother to check? If they want ur car they will have it anyway.....

anyone used a Microscan before ?.......we do those at work and there cheap and very easy fit

all i want is an alarm with interior sensors, and the usual boot/door protection that will hook up to my locking
