How long is the 182 exhaust guaranteed for

Hi

I'm currently on my 4th Renault exhaust on my 182 (brought from new) which is 1 year old tomorrow. Once again the exhaust has started to rattle to bits and I wondered how I stand on the warantee side?

Even if the warantee only lasts for a year on the exhausts will I be covered by the fact the replacement parts are less than 6 months old and should therefore be covered by their own 12 month guarantee?

if you kicked off with renault they would probably sort it for you. however the exhaust is normally only covered upto 1 year. i always thought the parts had 3 months warranty, but may be 6 im not sure.

easiest way is to ring your dealer and have a word with them

The parts used will have a 12 month warranty

yup ^^^ so it will be a year from the last time it was replaced. Get yourself a stainless system on instead.

um, Paid £360 for a custom Catback system from AAS. Great service and a spot on job too. going back soon for a decat too. Made my car loads of fun to drive

Sounds like you need to get a s/s for peace of mind too. Doesn't inspire confidence if you are on your 4th exhaust already...

I just cant see how Renault can get this so wrong, constantly. I could accept a couple as things go wrong, they learn and move on but this takes the mickey.

I don't even drive the car like a looney (perhaps I should, maybe that's whats wrong!)

Seeing as you are now on your 4th exhaust in under a year don't you think Renault should be crediting you the cost of a stainless system as some kind of compensation - 4 replacements in a year ffs!
