How low can it go?

Hi guys ,

Currently have my Clio 1.2 2001 standard.

I bought a set of 16" 172 Alloys with Tyres for £100.00 of a chap from here and have yet to fit them, and was wondering how low could i go?

With the 172 alloys , what would be a reasonable lowering height to close the gap in the arches? I dont really want it to look slammed , but enough to make the car sit nice.

40mm would be ideal for you, You can still make it over speedbumps and the ride is not ruined.

Springs by 30 - 40mm I would say.

You should really tell your insurers too, presuming you are fairly young and male, they may butt rape you for it. Just something to think about.
