how low, how easy

Evo 8 RIP, Evo 2 tracktoy
im looking to lower my 172 cup and not sure what the best way to go around it and how low i can acctualy go with out causing problems.also if i was to get springs how easier are they to fit my self or would it be worth gettin a specilist to do the job

I think apex springs or eibach sportlines are the ones most recommended on here. Both come in a couple of different drops i think, of 40mm and 60 mm. If you want to go lower than that, then coilovers are the way to go, but cost a fair bit.

As for fitting springs yourself, its an easy job, if you have the tools and are confident with them. You will need spring compressors though, which you can get from halfords.

40mm is the max drop for springs and thats on Apex. Dampers are suggested to compliment the drop and ride quality.

Eibac do not drop as much as the APEX but alot of people prefer them.

Coils will drop the car extreme levels, but not necessary imo.

i hav the apex springs 40mm drop, ride is fine feels and handles so much better, looks good 2, there not hard 2 fit.. there is a guide on here sum were
