How low on coilovers?

Car  Renaultsport clio 172 cup
I am getting some v-maxx coilovers in the group buy and just wondering what peoples verdicts were on the perfect ride height,practibility/lookwise?

I want mine to be as low as possible but still handle its best... I'm hoping for somewhere like 60-70mm... Rear wheel just under the arch and front about 5mm above :)

depends what look you want mate eg if you wanted a nose down stance then probs 70 at the front and 55 at the back. when i get the coilovers im going 70mm at the front and 90mm custom springs at the back. no doubt andoid will tell you to go 100mm all round or somthing like that lol

well im sure if go 70mm then i wont get into my drive but then again i could allways raise it whenever i wanted. most cars have a nose down stance normally. maybe you will need to raise it a bit if you want great handling but if your not gonna track it then just get it as low as you want. just make sure you get the camber set up as if you dont it will handle badly and will eat your tyres.

Will too low not put extra stress on the driveshafts etc.

Gonna get tracking done after they are fitted

probably. brembo had his driveshaft cut and welded shorter as he was running some negative camber but then again he was very low because his car was set up for a track.

I'm having mine done next week, £240. Camber, ride height, toe etc etc all being done by a race team.

tracking and camber is really all you need done. absolutly no need to do cornering weight as thats for people who track their cars alot

not camber but you can get the tracking done only at a tyre fitter. i would take them to a proper motorsport garage, get them to fit them and set them up properly just for peace of mind.

Getting them fitted by a good mechanic so thats okay do you know of any good motorsport garages in north scotland where are you getting yours set up?.

actually thats a decent price. i will hopefully be going to falkland performance in glenrothes to get mines fitted and set up.
