how low, should i go?



  Renault Clio 1.2
I'm literally just about to order some lowering springs. How low should i go, 35mm or 55mm.

I've got a mk2 ph1, if anyones got any pics that will help make up my mind, they would be gratefully recieved.

go 55mm...you will regret it otherwise!!

dont really need it for handling purposes - so go lower and it will lok fresher!

here is a pic of my mates clio we lowered 60mm on apex springs

handles suprisingly well considering its only on springs -

iv got 35mm springs, iv had them on 9 months but on monday im getting 60mm gmax suspention kit cos the springs aint low enough, heres a few pics of the 35mm.....

this is just 35mm springs with original stock dampers.
always thought it looked quite low for 35mm but thats what it said on the box.

pinkyclio, you say ur getting 60mm, would you be willing to sell, looks real nice, pretty much what im looking for. How much?

You can have my springs (40mm) if you want?

Do a search on here and you will see this has been asked loads of times before. 60mm is too low for standard bumpers and will ruin everything about the car apart from the looks. After a month I bet you will regret it.

iIgot a 60mm PI suspention kit and it handles bumps and pothole extremely well.
feels good hooning round corners too.
wouldnt recommened any lower that 35-40mm with out uprated dampners.
