how many about /16v

just thinking i dont see very many clios about, does any one know how many 16valves were built? phase 1 and 2 and how many 172s and cups.

id love to know this too!! i travel around 50miles a day in my vlaver and i can honestly say i dont see "any" clio 16vs in my travels! Be lucky to see 1 or 2 a month. My mate thinks there common, tho i think he only does it to piss me off

I see very few. That includes round Nottingham and Leicester.

i see lots of 172s around, though in its defense its a modern car thats still in production, 16v are getting on a bit now... still and always will be.. The Dogs Nuts" tho

when i retire from driving i plan on baking my valver in an oven to help with shrinkage so as to place it on my mantelpiece

I reckon there must be about 5,000 16vs. The hot hatch wasnt as popular as it is now back in the early 1990s - insurance was a nightmare and most hot hatchches died off (Fiesta RS Turbo only on market for 18 months, no 205 GTi replacement for a few years etc).

I dont think I could ever justify getting rid of my 16v, so it will stay a regular sight on the mean street of Dinas Powys (a village near Cardiff!).

God, just started thinking about it all... will be saving for a deposit on a house this year, then mortgage repayments, house improvement etc... blimey! Im never going to be able to afford another car anyway!!

Ive only been working for Citizens Advice part time while I do my Masters. Im starting a graduate job as a financial manager (accountant) with the NHS in a few months. I was sitting on an offer of a city-type job with a Bank, but am taking the NHS one, even though its 60% less pay!! But I dont want to burn out by the time Im 30 and the NHS one is a five-year programme - theyve given me a placement in Bridgend (Wales) near to where I live, so I can afford to live like a king around there and save up for a house pretty soon.

I meant 5000 in the UK! There were 1200 Willys over here.

The reason i bought a valver coz theres not many of them about they are mint cars.And some of the 1s that are left are f**ked!Dont see many 16vs about only 1 or 2 but theres loads of 172s

Someone email Renault customer services. I keep seeing emails from some woman called Anna something or other who tends to reply to the more bizzare requests. Sure they could find the figures for you.

Well it seems to me the 16vs r rarer than 205 GTis, Feista RS Turbos, R5 GTTs, Nova GTEs but still to know 4 sure.

Ive only seen 2 others in Devon. 1 being a willy and the other 2 Valvers.

But as of yet, theres no official numbers?? Someone must have some contacts in Renault to find out the numbers?! I thought we were recognised as a "serious" club by them!
