another winter and some shocking conditions...how many 172's will make it through winter!
Lots of people are crashing atm. Obviously it's not their fault.
The blame lies with tyres/wind/the road/God.
People just dont think at all. Earlier today there was an MG snaking on a hill not going up it at all, with a van stuck behind it they were both literally getting up there at about an inch per hour so I stopped at the bottom of the hill so I could just take a run up it no problems, the c*nts behind me decided to overtake me and then got themselves stuck on the hill ffs!amazes me how much some people drive like arses in weather like this, seen some guy in a people carrier loose it earlier on going round junction striking two other cars, he was going to fast for conditions.

It was a blind hill so I couldn't just go round them, I had to go and park up behind them to stop more people from doing the same. It pissed me off no end, I sat there behind them with the engine off until they got the f*ck out of the way, then casually motor'd past.this wouldnt piss me of tbh.
id probably get out at top of the hill and laugh at em.
the fronts spinning can be a lot of fun, and driving in this weather teaches a lot of car control, it also weeds out some of the drivers that shouldn't be on the road haha. Its so annoying driving in snow. You have to be feather light with all steering, accelerating, braking, changing gear etc.
Fronts spin up very easily if your a bit over eager with the clutch but i've generally been fine. If you drive carefully its not too bad.
My 172 only has ABS, and its only really kicked in in the slush so I would agree, when I had the 197 the traction/ESP was the 1st thing to get switched off.when it's icy/snowing... cup owners are in the better car for the conditions.
ABS/ESP/TC does f**k all when there's sheet ice below the tyres.

Mines a very early ph2 and it doesn't have traction or ESP.
Always remember the first time I drove a car with ABS - XR3i.I remember when majority of cars didnt have ABS. Cars werent labelled as dangerous then.
Think what the problem is, under 25's can drive seriously high powered cars compared to 10 - 20 years ago and they just cant handle it and have no driving experience where as in 80's and 90's you used to have to work your way up to a faster car because they were so expensive to buy and insure
Was thinking this the other day. Has seemed quite quiet on here recently. A good year for the cup then?

What you hit ? You ok etc ?
