How many inches (ahem)

Howdy, sorted almost for which system im having in car - last thing is which size sub to get!! - i think its between a 10 or a 12.. defo not a 15!!!..thats silly!... I would like a 10" to be honest as want to save space and weight... Ive even read some threads in here saying get a couple of !!6!!s or 8s??.. surely they are too small arent they??.

If a 10", which one would you suggest and that acts as good (or better) than a 12"? - or does a 12" only act like a 12".. if that makes sense!!

well...... i used to have 2 kenwood 12s in ported boxes! LOADSA bass but not much punch!

would go for a 10 personally

to a certain extent dogmaul is correct, with a well tuned box a 6" sub can produce more bass than a 12" sub in an off the shelf box

but lets be sensible here

you seem pretty new to ice if you are asing this question, so heres what id dogo out and spend £100-£150 on a 10" sub, spend £50 getting a local (decent) ICE shop to build you a bandpass enclosure to the specific requirements of a sub, then match the sub to 85% of the amps abilities

you will have a loud car with enough control to keep the audiophilles happy
