How many problems will this cause??

  Renault Clio 1.6 16v 5dr
hi ppl,
i'm new to the site and this is my first post.

i've recently bought a mk2 1.6l 16v clio and have plans to lower the car 60mm all round onto 15" rims with 195/50/15 tyres on them. Will this rub at all or will i be ok as on many occasions i have 5 ppl in the car.

cheers matty h

first thoughts were to drop it 60mm onto 17" but thought that would defo scrub. and had the set of 15" give to me as my mate didn't want them anymore.

What are your recommendations for lowering it 60mm -
should i go for springs and shocks as a package or should i just go for springs??

My thoughts were to go for the spring & shock package as i thought the spring, if left with standard shocks would fall out when the car was jacked up or put on the garage hoists.

NONE!
I'm on 15's with 60mm drop. I think you can go to 60mm on 17's without any scrub. But you won't be anywhere near scrubbage with 15's and 60mm with a full car because the springs are so stiff. I've got the apex kit and deffinately recommend it for the price.

I like the look of that, got me thinking of getting a set of 17" now :approve:

should i get a set of 5 spoke or a set of multi spokes?? at present i've got a set of 15" fox racing 3 evo's (multispokes) which i will probably sell.

what suspension setup have you got?? uprated springs and shocks or uprated spring on standard shocks??

which springs/springs & shocks are you running on??

priced up a set of gmax supersport springs and shocks with 60mm drop alll round - 277 notes.

any help/recommendations on the above will help me loads

cheers matty h

mines down about 50 mm and had four people in the back and about 40kgs of ice and it didn't rub

but if i go quickly into a roundabout i do get rubbing on the front with 17's
