how much are french plates

how much do the cost and where can i get them from

and aslo are there any legal issue or is it just the case of getting them and slaping them on your car

u cant have them in the UK if UK registered they will not get you points just a non endorsable

I have them on my Golf.....Germanplates.com did them. The font is the Euro font but letters/numbers are raised and they have the D mark on the blue bit to the left. I've never had any problems with the 5-0s. They've asked me about them and haven't been able to ever charge me with anything. I can display whatever European country's letter I want on my car and ther's sod all anyones gonna do about it. Uk is part of the EU remember. The French and Germans have funny logos and the equivalent of our MOT/Vehicle Reg on their plates as well so technically all your doing is using the euro font/style and slapping an 'F' or 'D' on the side where it should read UK. Its about as legal as not showing the GB/UK badge so that makes it very legal.....

I find that very hard to believe. If they wanted to do you, they could, although I am pretty sure you'll get away with it 99% of the time as there as so many euro cars in the uk. If you had a LHD car I doubt you'd get stopped at all.

last night I saw a very strange plate

G-18-MAN (including hyphens)

with the isle of man flag to the left with "GBM" underneath, so obviously it was an attempt at 18 being "B"

Then again i've seen numberplates written in comic sans for f**k sake so I'm kinda past caring.

Foreign plates are totally illegal. Lots of dubbers run German plates, but carry their GB ones with them incase they get pulled. You'll get a £30 fine and a rectification notice if your pulled. Might get in trouble for something like this though...
