Will do mate, just getting a rough figure before calling them but will let you know.I pay £78 a month for phone, 50mb broadband and TV package without Sky Sports or Movies.
We've realised that we watch f**k all on it really apart from the free view channels. When I get time I'm going to ring them and see what the basic TV and broadband package is.
Let me know what price they give you.
What does that include? Is that with Fibre optic broadband or just TV?Hi i have the basic sky package its £30.00 ish
I am debating between the two to be fair. I thought pricing would be similar as they are two competitors though.£78 seems very expensive for the lowest TV! Virgin is £40 something with sports.
Ah, wouldn't need the multiroom I don't think. Out of interest though, how much extra p/m did that add on to your bill?I have the full Sky HD package (all TV except the PPV stuff, phone and broadband) and pay £72/pm. That's also with one Multiroom box.
I think my brother moved over to Sky because of TiVo - what were the issues with it?Currently sixty pounds for virgin tv, phone, Internet with sports and movies and an extra box. Pretty much everything maxed out. It goes up to £102 after 9 months.
Virgin tv, TiVo is utter shite, the minute I'm out of contract I'm going back to sky for TV.
Not a bad deal. Guess it's alright if you're a pre-existing customer. I would pay that all day long.I was paying £42 for Sky, basic package with discovery channels and HD. Single box. Called them to cancel last week as it was just taking the piss for something I barely watch. Knocked it straight down to £25 a month for 12 months.
I can live with that.
Yeah, I've got Netflix and that. Just not normal TV because the TV signal here is shocking.Freeview. It's free.
We pay for NetFlix and Amazon Prime, which means we don't actually need Sky/Virgin. Have you considered this?

Yes, yes it does. I'm ringing them before I go home tonight.£78 seems very expensive for the lowest TV! Virgin is £40 something with sports.
lol, try downgrading your package on line. Good luck. Why even phone them, you'll get the same deal online.
I've seen a lot of the "£x.xx for 12 months and then.." but surely they'd tie you in to a minimum of 18 months so they can rape you for the money after your 12 months? We've recently just got Sky internet and full TV package for around £40 a month for 12 months. We just got a letter through the door with the offer. After the 12 months, we'll be cancelling as it'll end up being like £80 or something daft!
£20 for sky's cheapest package.
£35 for talk talk fibre.
It's painfully slow, and I just can't get on with the way the menus are all laid out. It will play 5.1 surround on anything live, but as soon as you record something it loses the ability to put out 5.1 which is frustrating.I think my brother moved over to Sky because of TiVo - what were the issues with it?
I just change the billing details to DK'slol, try downgrading your package on line. Good luck.

I've only ever heard bad things about TalkTalk to be fair, that's why I hadn't considered them. Rubbish speeds, loss of connection a lot and so on.
He'd never know I suppose. Donates more to the Donkey Sanctuary each week iirc.I just change the billing details to DK's
They're hoping to get 48 months free service, after being with the company for 3 weeks and having a problem that distracted them from picking their anus.I never get why people moan about bad customer service, why do you need to phone them up every 5 minutes.

lol, this was the last thing I expected to see. I thought it was going to explain how you could get the best pence per minute value for your watching pleasure.Far too f**king much. I blame my wife and her addiction to netball and football. Grr.

That is a real world problem. Chin up, things will get better. This is exactly why I can't afford a decent toaster.
I was the same - I was paying well over £100/month at one stage. Called them up, got a decent deal on my TV package (as said, I have everything inc HD) and I have unlimited Broadband too. To top it all I actually found Sky's customer service to be really good, when I took out Multiroom I had my old box services FOC, and free Sky Go Extra (which I don't even use!)Had it as £30p/m for the last year with Sky and Broadband on a half price thingy. Has recently gone up to £60, but i CBA to phone up and try and haggle.
