I know I could call them but cba with the hassle if I'm honest.

I'm after a basic package, fibre optic, TV.

Anyone know a rough figure?

Cheers

I pay £78 a month for phone, 50mb broadband and TV package without Sky Sports or Movies.

We've realised that we watch f**k all on it really apart from the free view channels. When I get time I'm going to ring them and see what the basic TV and broadband package is.

Let me know what price they give you.

£78 seems very expensive for the lowest TV! Virgin is £40 something with sports.

I have the full Sky HD package (all TV except the PPV stuff, phone and broadband) and pay £72/pm. That's also with one Multiroom box.

  A shiny black one.
Currently sixty pounds for virgin tv, phone, Internet with sports and movies and an extra box. Pretty much everything maxed out. It goes up to £102 after 9 months.

Virgin tv, TiVo is utter shite, the minute I'm out of contract I'm going back to sky for TV.

I was paying £42 for Sky, basic package with discovery channels and HD. Single box. Called them to cancel last week as it was just taking the piss for something I barely watch. Knocked it straight down to £25 a month for 12 months.

I can live with that.

Will do mate, just getting a rough figure before calling them but will let you know.
Hi i have the basic sky package its £30.00 ish
What does that include? Is that with Fibre optic broadband or just TV?

I am debating between the two to be fair. I thought pricing would be similar as they are two competitors though.

Ah, wouldn't need the multiroom I don't think. Out of interest though, how much extra p/m did that add on to your bill?

I think my brother moved over to Sky because of TiVo - what were the issues with it?

Not a bad deal. Guess it's alright if you're a pre-existing customer. I would pay that all day long.

Freeview. It's free.

We pay for NetFlix and Amazon Prime, which means we don't actually need Sky/Virgin. Have you considered this?
Yeah, I've got Netflix and that. Just not normal TV because the TV signal here is shocking.

We've recently just got Sky internet and full TV package for around £40 a month for 12 months. We just got a letter through the door with the offer. After the 12 months, we'll be cancelling as it'll end up being like £80 or something daft!

£20 for sky's cheapest package.

£35 for talk talk fibre.

Why even phone them, you'll get the same deal online.
There's more to the internet than pictures of 1.2 clios with badly-fitting bumpers and instagram girls with their chebs hanging out.

As per @DrR though, Talktalk Fibre is cheap at the moment, I just got 12 months for line-rental only

Yes, yes it does. I'm ringing them before I go home tonight.
I just can't be arsed to change my broadband because of my email address.

Looks like I am on their Big Kahuna package.

I've seen a lot of the "£x.xx for 12 months and then.." but surely they'd tie you in to a minimum of 18 months so they can rape you for the money after your 12 months?

I've only ever heard bad things about TalkTalk to be fair, that's why I hadn't considered them. Rubbish speeds, loss of connection a lot and so on.

It's painfully slow, and I just can't get on with the way the menus are all laid out. It will play 5.1 surround on anything live, but as soon as you record something it loses the ability to put out 5.1 which is frustrating.

It's ability to record 2 programmes whilst you watch a third is handy at times.

Another thing to note is sky have some new hardware coming out. I haven't looked into it yet as it will annoy me if it's brilliant.

For me where I live the best combo is sky tv, virgin Internet and phone. It's not cost effective but ticks all boxes.

My talk talk stopped working once, phoned up and sorted right away, only problem in 3 years, £35 is loads but I've just come out of contract so will change to someone else soon.

I never get why people moan about bad customer service, why do you need to phone them up every 5 minutes.

That may be something to check actually, pretty sure we double checked and it was only for 12 months.

Don't go TalkTalk, we had their nternet before Sky and it was dogshit, constantly losing connection and had to turn it off and on pretty much everyday. They were about as much use as a chocolate firegaurd as well when we tried to get it sorted.

I just change the billing details to DK's
He'd never know I suppose. Donates more to the Donkey Sanctuary each week iirc.

They're hoping to get 48 months free service, after being with the company for 3 weeks and having a problem that distracted them from picking their anus.

I think they offered it to me for £7/month or something. Which makes sense to me - the Mrs can watch her shite tv upstairs then, out of my way, so I don't need to listen to Hollyenders or whatever.

Far too f**king much. I blame my wife and her addiction to netball and football. Grr.
lol, this was the last thing I expected to see. I thought it was going to explain how you could get the best pence per minute value for your watching pleasure.

Pay £52 for the TV only - that's the top package (ie alll the TV channels, box sets and movies on demand, HD, all the sky sports and movies). No grot or BT sport.

Told them I told them I had been looking at Now TV and Amazon TV and that I thought I was paying to much at about £75 odd a month. Eventually got them to £52 which I was happy with tbh.

My actual sky bill should be about £70.
And thats just for TV, so I can get the F1 channel in HD.
But after cancelling, I had a letter through for 50% off and £50 account credit.
Rinse & repeat

I have BT and pay £63 for unlimited 72mb fibre, calls and tv including BT sports.
It's shocking though. Can't use the HD channels as they keep crashing so end up using the smart tv for that. Recording of two channels is decent though.
Lookin at going to sky when my contract is up.

I now pay £38 p/m. That includes variety package, movies, broadband and telephone. It was nearly £70 before but I did the usual trick of cancelling and getting an offer. It may be worth going through quidco as there's some pretty decent cash back on there as well.

  330i. E30 Touring.
Had it as £30p/m for the last year with Sky and Broadband on a half price thingy. Has recently gone up to £60, but i CBA to phone up and try and haggle.

I was the same - I was paying well over £100/month at one stage. Called them up, got a decent deal on my TV package (as said, I have everything inc HD) and I have unlimited Broadband too. To top it all I actually found Sky's customer service to be really good, when I took out Multiroom I had my old box services FOC, and free Sky Go Extra (which I don't even use!)
