How much have you spent on your car

[Final Maxim]

Just did a list of everythin ive bought for my car and all the work ive had done, (every single thing).

- my cars a mk 1 ph 3 1997 which i bought for £500

- ive spent so far £1655

- ive owned it 11 months

spent around the 5k mark on mine, and im not finished yet. spent the 5k in 6 months lol

sounds awful pouring that amount of money into an old car, but i enjoy it, so aslong as im happy, it shouldnt matter either way

hillpower chip and ik (+ plus other essentials) £500

wheels £700

audio system prob around £1500

clear side repeaters + alloy pedals £50

total £4830

Apart from stuff which had to be done Ive spend £757 on my car.

Almost £2.5k on fuel though

£5k on depreciation (thats lost rarther than spent I suppose)

£2130 on insurance /claims excess.

£200 interest on the loans

£158 on broken/worn bits.

£350 on tyres.

£175 on track day costs

Call it £15.5k spent and only got £5.3k worth of car to show for it.

Quite wierd that Ive only ever earned ~£30k in my hand so over half has been spent on tha car.

only about 350 quid - upgraded bulbs all round, ms designs grille, momo gear knob, momo door sills, momo mats, black repeaters etc. just the small things that make a difference

had it 5 months, but i am a poor student.

Unfortunally £30k is what Ive earned during my just over 3 yrs in employment.
