How much is a second hand powerflow exhaust for a 172 worth??

Hi all, With more on going mods along with talking to other car lovers the decat looks to be a must, the current exhaust that came with the car looks a great bit of kit & sounds ace "with" the cat but i think its going to be far too loud & have thought of replacing it with a k-tec stealth sytem as i have heard there good bits of kits that arent "too" loud with a de-cat

So what could i expect to get for the old power flow? its in really good condition with no signs of rust etc

Silenced decat is what i was planning on but have been told there still noisey as fook too :S that not the case then mate? if so, power flow stays

From my experience with a powerflow cat back and a prospeed silenced decat it sounds great not much louder than without the decat but my powerflow system was already quite noisy already. Its just wether its worth you losing a bit of money on the powerflow kit.

How much was the pro speed silenced decat & where did you get it from mate?

What sort of improvments did you notice with the decat + power flow?

Think I paid 60 quid for it from a lad off here. I have pretty much what you are looking to be doing from one of your other posts ie ITG panel filter, powerflow catback, silenced decat, RSTuner remap. All that has improved it no end. When I first got it, was totally flat until 5k then I got the "5k kick" but since ive had all that its completely gotten rid of that feeling and made it much smoother, and it pulls alot harder from lower down the range. Transformed it completely from what it was anyway

Sweet, thats what i needed to hear , how did you find the rstuner kit? like you have said, you have improved the bottom end power, thats exactly what i'm craving, dont get me wrong, the 172 pulls very well but if you get caught off gauard in the wrong gear can make you look a right t**t lol

Yep definetely, thats exactly what I found and wanted to sort out lol. RSTuner thing was good, I cant compare to any other remaps because ive had none in the past but for the price of it, and the ability to have custom maps and load diffrent maps all the time you cant beat it I dont think. The PA analyser was good, cant remember what results I got before I loaded the map but after I tried it and it wouldnt read the speed so couldnt calculate the results. I did email henk about this a few times but he never did get back to me. It improved the idle and raised it to around 1k instead of 800rpm which it was before. low and midrange felt a bit better too which is what I was after!

Just been on the phone to k-tec regarding the decat, & the guy at ktec reckons power flow exhausts actually loose power what do you guys reckon?
