I have been offered a 2009 blue Clio 200 cup on 33k miles (no addional options), reasonable condition for its age.

Years MOT and a service BUT it has not had a new Cambelt change (waterpump etc.).

What’s it worth?

R Yes R/98 Volvo V70 2.5 Auto 7 Seater Estate in Green Metallic, 90K with History.

Drives fine, drivers door doesnt open from the outside on the remote, but does on the inside.

What we reckon as it's come in part ex.

Clio 182 Black Gold 2004,
32k miles
Every receipt from 2007
Eibach springs
vibratechnics mounts
Scorpion Exhaust
omp steering wheel (still got std)
quick shift
uprated linkage bushes.
Uprated pads
Michelin tyres all round.
Great condition, recently taken out of long term storage (approx 5 years)

Whats its ballpark worth as I'm looking at going megane engine'd Clio 3's

  RS 200 CUP
Gaz Gold adjustable rear shocks that came off my 172 for a refurb and service - car got written off before they had chance to go back on.
Not been touched since service and refurb (got invoice with them) , what are they worth?

With that low mileage you might get £5k if it’s in immaculate condition.

Right folks

thinking of selling my RB FF 182, I wrote a big thing about it then my stupid ass laptop decided to dleelte it and the drafts thing didn't work, so here's a short version

184k
RB FF
only mods when sold will be janspeed silenced and itg panel filter
belts done 2 years ago with clutch
4x new wheels bearings discs and pads in last month
years mot
i'm 4th owner, 2 previous from 17k miles on the car are forum owners too (Boosh and makvelli)

interior in good nick
snappy wheel
new cup shocks in last 2 years all round
new rear caliepr and brake line on dirver sside
small patch of welding done to drivers front jack point from jacking damage years ago
4x ps3 tyres wheels are in great nick too
all electrics work, no dash lights on and AC blows cold. only exception I can think of is auto wipers, auto headlights work though still
had rear door cards and sill trims off and sills are solid, surface rust was cleaned, treated and painted over.

bad bits:
gearbox whines a bit
bonnet looks tired
small patch of rust on drivers rear and a scrape
usual stone chips etc over car (14 year old daily car)

that's about it, I;ve tried to look after her over the years and she still drives nicely, always serviced oil and filter every 6k miles and loads of bits changed when needed.

honest opinions needed as if (as I suspect) its probably still worth 15p due to the mileage then i'll get the rear arch sorted and just keep her I think. be brutal please! lol!

so this is to help me decide what to do with the car.

that's sort of where I was with it, I would want 1500 out of it I think to make me sell but I suspect I would have to list at that to get a sniff and then expect to be kicked down

its right on the bubble of keeping it tbh and fixing the arch. I feel sort of attached to the car too which is definitely clouding my judgement.

What’s up with the arch?.

To someone who will disregard the miles and appreciate Rb being the only sensible colour to own. Upto 1500.

Ignoring the above on eBay etc, 1000.

Someone will pay £1500 for that just because of the colour! Belts and clutch done, looks nice. Reckon you will get that easy.

I scraped it and ignored it and the rust got in basically! needs chopping out, looking about 600 quid do it right as the petrol cap area ideally wants doing too

already have, got a s**t old saab 93 run about it, got the phase 1 172 for my sport fix and 2x mk1 clios as well. basically the RB is just surplus to requirements and of all the Clio's I have, dare I say it its the one I'd let go first...…..

Who wants to spend 5k on a 16 year old car? Only a fool would spend £1500+ on a gearbox rebuild :O

Keep thinking, I'll use it one day, perhaps I'll have time to do a couple of track days in 2019 and will regret ever considering getting rid.

Think you have answered your own question really. At £4500 this would have sold. If it were me, I would pull the box off and sell it separately and expect 4-4.5k for the rest. Looks like a nice and well sorted car but if I'm being honest (and a bit rude) there are better things to buy for 5+.

I've got newish suspension parts in the garage for it to go as a 172 Turbo without the Billies and can easily have the box out. So that's probably how it'll go, shame really as it's an epic set up as it is.

I completely agree, I'd probably buy an R26, but then I was thinking that when I paid for the box to be built too ? You've got to really want a Clio turbo to buy one at this price bracket, really it's for someone who is about to spend £4k at ED who doesn't have a love for their own car.

Its a shame really! I've built a few cars in the past that I didn't ever get the chance to use properly once done before being sold and I've always regretted it!

There was a clio turbo which sold on ebay for 4.5k not long ago, that had a standard box in it and nothing special suspension wise from memory. So you could get your asking price by selling box and suspension separately... Good luck with it ?
