There is also a shed load of parts from hubs, Ball joints, Steering Wheel, Gear Knob, Bottom arms, Headlights, Exhaust Trims (Carbon & Standard), Rear Calipers (For Exchange Rebuild) And there is prob a lot more that I have forgot about.

I have many many invoices and once again 1000s of images of work carried out all by a genuine Renault specialist using 99% of Genuine Renault Parts

A friend has a clio sport on her drive which has been unused for about a year after it developed a phantom battery drain. It needs to go but I'm not sure exactly what it is or its value. Running fine and in daily use before this fault. A few mechanics looked but said it needs an car electrician to find the fault. Minor dent to one side as pictured which might pop out. Needs minor tidying but looks original and complete. Reccaro seats but minor mold on the inside.
Any idea what its worth as either a potentially easy project to go back on the road or as the base for a track car? Thanks

You’re going to need a load more information before any gives you an indication of value…things like:
1) Mileage
2) history, when were the belts last done
3) MOT
4) Recaro condition, these suffer with bolster wear
5) Any modifications etc

As for the ‘minor’ dent, what’s the blue at the bottom of the panel? Has it already had a replacement wing in the past? Looks like blue paint. That dent won’t pop out without some remedial pain work in my experience.

It’ll be the alternator. For some reason they s**t themselves and start drawing a voltage. Not sure why - a couple of people have suggested it starts thinking they are a motor and draw a current to spin themselves.

The easy test is to disconnect it and see if it still has the voltage drain.

I’ve had 2 alternators go that way.

Aside from that it just looks rough. If that dent is your idea of minor I’d hate so see a serious one 🤣

Last mot was passed may 2024. Milage 110,000. No idea about service history. Don't think its been modified in any way. Didn't look too closely at the seats, I hadn't realised it was unlocked until I was about to leave. I was there to move a tv and fix a kitchen cupboard.
I'd assumed the dent was at knee height and the sill trim had come loose but looking again it does look like the trim is loose due to damage lower down thats why its loose. I think the blue is the plastic clips that hold the trim on. Its not from a heavy impact. It looks more like catching a bollard while parking.

I'd read it might be the alternator but I'm not getting too involved in fixing this. Its owned by a now retired dinner lady who has bought another car with zero interest in a clio project. Its just pointless leaving it sitting on her drive hence the question on here.

Usually the rectifier diodes which convert the current from AC to DC, when they go bad they act like a two way valve and allow current to back draw.

Can actually see some big amp draws with a thermal camera.
