More than that really.

Most cheap hand car washes charge £7 for a wash and dry.

I won't do that to my own car in one day, even of someone paid me £20. lol

lol! 20£ No even worth the time!! Work on about 15-20£ an hour for a semi-pro detailer.

yea thats far too low it takes me bout 4 -5 hours to do my own by hand . wash ,polish, wax + inside .id charge from bout 80 -100

  172 and vw passat
depends if the job is good, how many produts you used, ie prices of them and how long it took, would charge like £15-20 an hour or something

Would not do it for less than 10 quid and hour plus the cost of the products.

Wash, polish and wax by hand is 50 quid minimum.

  @ £20 you'll put everyone out of business for that rate.
I charge about £80+ for what youve done above but for a full detail or swirl removal i do for around £180+

Chamois are sh!t. Even proper leather ones.

Get a microfibre drying towel - you wont regret it. You'll do the whole car without having to wring it out.

At the risk of getting abused I quite like Autoglym Synthetic Chamois I can dry a car quicker with one than with a towel!

Each to their own i suppose.:D

I've got the aquatouch waffle weave m/f drying towel, just replaced it with the Tropi-care one, but not actually tried it yet.

Always used to use the AG chamois, though it tended to go oily and streak the finish.

I kind of do half and half on the GTi, using Miracle Dryer on the body panels, and AG Chamois's on the Glass, Door Shuts, Wheels and engine bay.

How much are these microfibre drying towels? Can you get them in Halfords? I know you can probably get them cheaper online but if thats all you are ordering then the postage isnt worth it!...

Halfords sell the Meguiars ones but they are not that great.
