How Much to Fit Eibach Sportlines to a 172?

How much do you reckon it should cost to have some Eibach Sportlines fitted to my 02 plate 172? Is a hundred quid about right or is that excessive/fair?

speak to fred, he can supply and fit them for £200.

I've already paid for the springs I'm afraid and will be delivered shortly. Just need someone to fit them around Nottingham way. The garage I normally use want £100 to fit. Thats more than I expected.

We would charge £45+vat to fit the springs as it only takes an hour.

David.

So I'm being ripped off then basically! If only K Tec wasn't about 200 miles away.... otherwise I'd have it booked in.

Can anyone recommend anyone in Nottingham? I know Prima are here but I've read quite a few bad things about them on this forum and I don't know whether they would fit springs not suppplied by themselves?

I bought my Sportslines from K-tec and had to have them fitted locally as I nives in Notts area. Mine cost £80 fitted and that included restting the tracking. Most garages will charge this amount as they will charge around 2 hours labour. It is a good idea to measure your ride height on all corners before fitting as you can then monitor the original amount the car has lowered, and then again once they've setteled.

fit them yourself mate... its easy!

ive written a guide:

That is a brilliant guide, thanks for that. However, I don't have half the things I actually need or the room to do it I'm afraid. Also, I'm not confident enough! Very good guide though mate!

The chances of lowering your car without have the tracking go out are very low. It will need checking which is useally free, but as your lowering it, it will more than likely need resetting. This will usually cost around £35. If you do take to a garage bare this in mind when getting a quote. Otherwise you may f*** your tyres up quicker than you think and thats not cheap either. The guy that did mine in Newark (25 miles from Notts) has Renault traing too and would do them while you wait.

my tracking didnt change after fitting mine, i had it checked. The Eibachs only lower the car 30mm max, so its not a drastic amount.

Silverfox, come down to bournemouth and i'll fit them for £30 :)

Can you fit me in this Saturday?! I'd travel to Stafford, no probs...

we're at Oulton park this Saturday

Damn! When can you fit me in then? Monday? One day next week?

I'd rather come to you since you're only 50 odd miles away and have a good rep on this forum...

I will need the Eibachs fitting and I may as well bring my new wheels to be fitted too, since the old ones will need taking off!
