how much would you expect to pay for welding

one of my seats needs welding better as cobra never made a very good job, been quoted 45.00 which i thought was a bit steep..anyone had any any welding done recently i had 30 quid in mind max,

Are you removing the seat and taking it to them? If so, £45 is a bit dear. I'd have said under £20 to get a bit touched up.

If they're removing the seat, then they need to be paid for their time.

Less than that!, If you were local i would do it for a tenner! , Try a few garages or local welding places, Some people will want a minimum order charge.

no me stand on my head take the seat out leave the frame in (as its to much hassel to take that out as well)

i actually though 20 quid but thought i was being tight lol... will speak to someone else i know (that shouldnt take the mick)

normally costs bout 45 quid an hour for welding, would think that is about right if they taking the seat out and back in for you aswell.
