my little bro has just tried to get his lil 1.4 8v mot!

and the y have told him its gonna be over £650 for a needed head gasket?
is this correct?
iv looked at it before many times and there is no way the head gaskets gone!!!
it just seeping oil out the rocker cover !!!!

plus oil is clean! as in no mayo!
water level never drops!
i think it need new plugs and filters and mybe rocker gasket:S
anybody know how much it should cost even if they are rite?

Well if what your satings right it doens't need one as long along as the leaks not bad it won't fail MOT.

650 is still money get a second hand engine for £200 or so then fitted for a few hundred.

plugs.
filters.
oil.
bet clarkie could do it cheaper!
