under the car - undo the 4 bolts and disconnect the gear linkage - 10 min job

I assume its brute force to get the new one in the same way?

didnt work - guessing the 1.2 8v is slightly different - will have to drop the last screw before the back box off tomorrow and see how much flex is in it, garrrrrh.

SO dropped that screw off which gave just enough wiggle room to get the old one out and the new one in - but now my heat shield is buggered and wont go back on - how important is it.....
