How to check stalk control manufacturer?

Interested in buying the following:

Now, this is a VALEO stalk, apparently my existing stalk also has to be a VALEO one for it to work. The reason im buying it is because im thinking of fitting front fogs so I want the function to turn them on/off from the stalk.

How do i know if my existing car's stalk is also made by valeo?
