Have you got a decat? If so, you can do the fault reader that will get rid of the light for 'x' amount of time.

If you don't, you should probably get it looked at / fault read etc

If you can borrow a laptop get someone to download obd2 or scantool pro from piratebay or other torrent site. By elm327 lead on its own for a few quid and clear fault codes and reset them. Just sorted my disco dash out for less than a tenner.

Will this work on Mac?

Something like this would work on a mac, http://www.obdtester.com/pyobd but freeware is usually limited in it's usefulness. Have a look around for compatible software you like and download full versions with serials or patches from a torrent site. If you know someone with an android phone (I'm guessing you got an Iphone) then there is a torrent for odb2 android app download. If it has the same functionality as windows obd2 then obviously its far more portable than even a small laptop but I haven't used it so not sure if its any good.

Ok thanks, its booked in the garage tommorow. I had a faulty MAP sensor and have replaced it, i was hoping the EML would go out but it hasnt...
