Well lets be sensible about this, petrol vapour only ignites when exposed to naked flames or hot surfaces, yeah?. And my turbo timer is set for 30secs.
OK then lets play scenario time, if I pull into a petrol station and start filling my car within 30 seconds of switching it off (completely off) there are still going to be the same amount of hot surfaces as if the engine is running. Cars don't produce naked flames so literally the only way to ignite the vapour is with a hot surface. Now aslong as I'm capable of inserting the nozel into the filler I'm perfectly safe. I know for a fact that "hot refuelling" generators is a no no but thats from the days when genny's had the filler points inside.
Anyway thanks for your concern I'm genuinely touched.
