How to get the hub off?

My wheel bearing is knacked and im going for a new hub and bearing but ive got stuck trying to get the hub off. Ive taken the wheel off, the brake assembly, the disc and the hub nut, but now what?

do i just need to whack off the bit thats exposed or undo all those other bolts that connect with the suspension and steering arm and if so how do i then get it off from the CV joint?

cheers
Tom

Why a new hub? unless it keeps fecking your bearings in under 7000miles dont bother with a new hub. Take the hub off, buy a new bearing, take the hub bearing to a garage, get them to press the old bearing out, push in the new one, reattach the hub...Job Done..

Do you nede to take the rubber sleeve off and ***** about with the CV joint to get it off though?

I need a new hub cos i put a new bearing in which has since gone in under 4 months so a new hub is the best bet.

I undid all the bolts that held the hub toother bits of the car - the suspension, the steering joint and the other one underneath, yet it didnt seem to pull out.

EDIT - ahhaaa thanks for the pic - so you dont need to go anywhere near the cover of the CV joint.

If you have done all that, it wont be attached to anything else mate, its probably a bit sticky, give it a yank..

----Torque Wrench Settings----

Strut to Swivel Hub bolts = 110Nm
Trackrod end balljoint to swivel hub nut = 35Nm
lower arm ball joint retaining nuts = 75Nm
