How to measure Cam profiles?

172 Cup & Clio dci Van
Any one able to give me an indication link to something , a guide on how to measure CAM profiles?

reason i ask is that i bought a set of Hill power cams (From Laxy on here)for a 172 which are apparently piper cams (which one i have no idea) that are reprofilled to hill powers own spec.

i want to measure the profile on them and compare them to the piper range spec so i can see if the reprofilled hillpower spec equates to a seriously aggressive profile? race/fast road profile etc etc

Cheers

Cheapest and easiest way is to graph out the lift/CA data.

You'll need a set of V blocks and a DTI and a degree wheel on the front of the cam.

Recording lift every cam deg will = 2 crank deg.
