how to open the air filter box (Clio 182)

  172cup
Hi guys,
I've recently bought a panel filter (BMC) for my Clio 182.
I've meant to do the job myself but when I opened the bonnet :dapprove: I realized it might take more than 10 minutes.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to open the air filter box? what is the rigth procedure?

Thanks!

On top of the box there is about 10 screws, unscrew them and the lid lifts off, job done.

Yeah remove that pipe that joins it to the main block of the engine. Take off both the jubilee clips, it is much easier to do it with it out the way.

No need to remove the inlet pipe just slacken the one off on the throttle body so the lid will pivot. Don't have to faff about with putting the breather pipe back on then if you haven't done it before.

thats a good tip too, I will do that.
Plus before i replace it, i dont want to go on about that but i ve heard of many people complaining about these racing panel filter because of possible damage for the actual engine.
is there any true in this?
