How to remove the washer bottle?

  Clio 197
I have a screenwash leak somewhere so want to remove the bottle to inspect it ... How do I do it ?

Take the wipers off, then the scuttle panel then the wiper motor then unbolt the bottle. Piece of piss.

10 minute job if your wipers aint stuck.

It's a big if. Took me fkn ages to do mine, had to get a puller to remove the wipers in the end.

You need two spanners do wipers.

One that fits the nut and another that will fit over the nut and under wiper arms that makes sense. Wen undoing you'll then slowly pull wiper off.

Yup, I snapped a puller this week on a wiper, ended up using the above method with a 22mm spanner and it worked a treat as it usually does. Just be careful that you squash your hand between the spanner and the windscreen to avoid cracking it

This is why my wipers are making noise after refitting them! When i removed mine i only had to undo the bolts on the top and pull them lol

I had to use a puller. Was a right pain. And there's a little plug thing which the wiper motor fits onto. Make sure you fit it onto that again when fitting it all back.

I hate taking the wipers off, you can pull and pull for absolutely ages and just when you are about to give up, you manage to get it off by just breathing on it.

Took me a good 2 hours before. Fixed the leak, put it all back together. And the pump was dodgy, so I had to trim the cylinder down inside the pump. Then it was fine.

I tried to take mine off a few weeks back. Removed all the bolts holding the wipers down, but they were seized on.

I have now got a wiper puller, planned to remove the wipers today to have a look round but the weather has been shitty......re the leak, is there a common area where this occurs so i know when i start pulling it apart.

It must be quite a bad one because i can see the level dropping when i fill it level with the top of the bottle, it drops most of it (not visible from underneath) and then allows me roughtly 5-10 more squirts before it is empty again, what a PITA!

My pump has gone piss poor lately, so need to swap that out for a new one. I can see me ringing Autoglass, asking if they can fix a swcree with a 22mm spanner embedded in the middle

I have no idea what you mean by this, i just undone the top nut and used a pully to get the wiper off, had them off a couple of times now and never had to use 2 spanners :/
