How to replace lower gearbox mount ?

  Clio MkII 172 K reg
For sometime already I have a small vibration in idling. Not huge vibration but could feel it for sure. My upper engine mount is a kangoo's one and did about 8000km. I checked The upper gearbox mount and tighted it so this is not it. So, 2 mounts left - dogbone mount and lower gearobx mount.
Dogbone mount I'll replace this weekend (10 minutes job) but how do I replace the lower gearbox one ?
I saw that it sits near the front subframe but can't understand how to replace it. Does it possible to replace it at home with jack and without lift ?
Somebody can write a quick guide how to replace it (if possible at home) with pictures may be ?
Thank you
Lior

the lower one is number 23 at the diagram:

easy

remove battery, unbolt the battey tray/gearbox mounting from the chassis leg (the aluminum bit, you can leave the rubber bush alone)

unbolt the lower mount from the subframe from underneath

jack up the gearbox with the wheel off and unbolt the mount from the gearbox

bit fiddly to do, but not hard

Ok, After thinking again, I bought 2 exhaust mounts + dogbone mount + lower gearbox mount. want to refresh all. (upper engine mount replaced abot 9000 km ago)
Fred, I saw that there are 2 bolts come from the lower gearbox mount. If I'll take out the battery and realease a little the upper gearbox mont, then jack a little bit the gearbox, could I replace this mount ? I just can't understand how this mount sits. Didn't find any pdf about it in dialogys.

thank you for help

Ok, replaced 3 mounts (2 exhaust + dogbone) yesterday. Now, only the lower gearbox left. Without lift it was pretty hard but done.:rasp:

Ok, So now I have a little more difficulty to change gears, why then ?
does it cause the lower gearbox mount not changed yet or something else ?
Also, please refer to my other question in previous post.
Thank you very much.

Ok, after I tried myself to replace this mount without luck, I decided to repalce this mount at garage. When they started to replace it, they found that part number 8 (battery bracket) is broken (I saw myself). So instead of small charge it became a 5 times bigger.
Tomorrow they will replace this bracket (they had to order) and then I will tell if all the knocks gone.

ar hha was your battery bracket broke at the back, down by the ecu, mine is like that, i thought it was ment to be like that, hummm, will have to keep an eny on it and call soem scrappies.

anyways i changed mine, like fred said it is easy enough with a bit of patience, took me about and hour and a half, cos i was playing with tha dog at the same time, bit scary jacking the gear box up as it still lifts the car as well. what i did was prodded a long screwdriver on top of the lower gearbox mount and oik ing it out the way, and it was easy cos the gear box rubber compresses down a lot, and refitting the new one, i did the save thing, was even easier to fit the new one.

This battery bracket supports the gearbox too. If it is broken you should repacle it soon. eventually it put more weight + load on gearbox mount.

Ok, as I told my update:
After changing this battery bracket + upper gearbox mount (it was also broken to 2 pieces) + lower gearbox mount + dogbone mount + 2 exhaust mounts + engine mount that about 3 months old -
No knocks or vibration at all !!!
when I firing it up the feel is like I fire up 1.2 engine and not 2.0 sport.;)
I'm very happy that after all, the knocks gone.

but as always in renault, other problems appeared already:mad:
