Lol. Good luck. If Renault didn't ever service it you'll have no chance.a freind has just got 172 with no history any ideas on how we might get the history,do u hav to find the car was sold from etc:clown:
they only have a record at each dealer of services done by themselved. Ring Renault UK and ask for where is was purchased from... Chances are if its Renault service they have used it will be the supplying dealer.
unless he rings all the dealers, then i dont believe there is anyway, as its not recordered.?
Your all wrong.

didnt these 172 come with 3year warrany if so they hav to do so many services or warranty is void i think i might of found the garage & hav been told for a few quid they can suply a new book-copy of the things they did during the 3years,ps did they come with the 3years free service or not any body no

The supplying dealer doesnt have to service thew car. What if you found the ideal car in Scotland but you live in London, ideally you would service the car closer to home?
Renault wont do anything, each dealer acts independantly and dont share service history of cars amongst each other, why you ask? Well if you are willing to find a garage that is willing to let other garages know when customers are due their next service, MOT, and timing belt change then give me their number so i can call them a commercial muppet.
The best hope you have is to contact the previous owner(s) and ask them where they had the car serviced. Then call the dealership and ask them for the service histroy. They will more than likely say no, update their system and plough your letterbox through with mailers.
This is a shame really.BMW have a database that can track if your car was ever serviced by them

Not wrong was i though? i didn't say the supplying dealer always services it but chances are.... Just get off your high horse.. When getting service history for salvage cars for all makes this is the way i have always gone about it and i nearly always get it.
