How To Turn Annoying Maps Thing Off?

Every time I get in my car this pops up on my iPhone 6. Stupidly odd and annoying.

Any ideas?

Do you have a destination set on the maps app? May be that.

Map notifications appear to be on, and showing in the lock screen. Change the setting.

You've obviously looked at a route and gone out of the app.

Mine does it too.
Either tells me the time it will take to get home or go to work.

My phone does this too. Pops up messages about traffic on the road I am on. Not eve supposed to be looking at a phone when you are driving so a bit pointless.

It bases the notifications on where you usually are at a certain time of the day. If you go to Settings, Privacy, Location Services, System Services and then turn Frequent Locations off it should stop it.
