How would I "Show" the audio quality difference between 196k and a FLAC (800+) file?

As title. Im doing a project on compression, ive done the image now I need to do audio. Is there any way I can show this using a program screenshot?

Im guessing this is a retarded question but im looking for a way to depict the qualitative difference between the two showing the negative effects of compression.

Sample sound wave, look at differences. Then you're just stuck with making sure your sampling gear isn't a limiting factor.

Use Audacity.

Put them side by side and you will be able to compare them and zoom right in.

FFT.

Take both versions of the file, pick (the same smallish section - a couple of seconds) in both and perform an FFT. This will give you a histogram which shows the frequency bands in both sections. The difference between the two files should be pretty obvious.
