HPI Check results...

Just done a HPI check on a car I am looking at buying, it came back all clear apart from the type of the vechile. It came back as:

CLIO (X65) SPORT
170 16V

It is suppose to be a a year 2000 172 is the information on the HPI correct?

Thanks Mat.

  Not a Clio

i think but im not sure that they get the model from the DVLA database via the reg/vin. Looks like someone just entered the wrong info as there is no such thing as a 170 :)

Just check the V5, if it has the car down wrong then let the DVLA know so they can correct it.

  Clio 182 Trophy 047/500

Not as good as when i owned my Vauxhall Calibra 2.0 16v Turbo. It was listed on the DVLA as a 2.0 Vauxhall Corsa Turbo it took me ages to get them to change the details. They only changed it when i had the car resprayed.

As long as its not on the register as a write off, or showing finance outstanding then id be o.k. with it.
