HT Leads

Car  Clio 182 & Saxo VTR
182.

Just fitted a set of HT leads from performance direct to my 182 and everythings running fine and dandy but ive noticed that there isnt anything stopping the heat eating away at the leads.

On the standard renault items they have a protective casing and i was wondering whether its advisable to get something similar and if so where from?

I can transfer the ones from the renault as they fray away at the sight of a stanley knife.

Anyone got a set of these and what did you do?

Cheers.

Are you sure? Ive tried to lay them out and tape them together so they dont touch the inlet or block but eventually im sure there will be contact, just dont want the plastic melting away.

That banding type thing is just to keep them together, it won't protect against heat in any way.
