HU fitting cage

Just fitted a new JVC but I never got a metal cage to fit it with, and there was none in the standard stereo obviously. Should I have got one in the new HU? Anyway I can secure it in withough buying a cage?

you should have got a cage with the new hu.

you might need a jvc one as it might lock into the cage and only lock properly into a jvc one

Cheers. I can get a JVC one for just over £10 on ebay, but I'm going to e-mail the place I got it from first.

It's strange there was no cage in the box with it.

It looks brand new to me. Not a mark on it anywhere.

Also realised it doesn't have a remote lead input. Surely all modern HUs should have one?

There is the blue/white wire on the loom though.
