After thinking I understand more about ICE, I settled on the above.

I don't have an ipod but I see the head unit has a rear usb port, I have a 60gb hdd, taken out of my PS3 with a external usb chassis, I plan to use with this. It says that it's can be used with the remote steering controls, but will I have any issues with the factory sat nav?

I figured I would stick to the factory rear speakers and reduce their volume via the HU. I would like to get a sub/amp for the boot, does anyone have a recommendation considering the above combination?

Should I get an amp for the front speakers?

thanks, Dan

Hi mate, Its worth bearing in mind that the head unit doesnt have a cd player, if im honest you will get better value for money with something like the Alpine CDE-114BTi, its not quite as good looking but it has front usb/ aux, ipod control and bluetooth.

Food for thought anyway

Thanks, I'm not too bothered about a CD player since I'll only clutter the car with CDs. With a 60gb hdd I'll have all I need.

Does anyone have any experience with fitting a new head unit and keeping sat nav and stalk controls working?

I ordered

Celsus Universal Radio Release Keys CEL-RK5010 1
Alpine IDA-X305 ALP-IDAX305
Renault Megane facia adaptor CEL-AFC5151
ICT 29-652 steering/stalk control adaptor CEL-ASC2652
InCarTec Alpine Adaptor CEL-ASCALP

fingers crossed I can do this, I'll upgrade the speakers later this year.
