Humming Noise When Ignition On (car not running)

Hello all,

Just purchased a clio 172 mk2 and when I turn on the ignition (not starting engine) there is a humming noise coming from the passenger side dash area. When I start the car I believe I can still hear it but its not the fans or the radio as both switched off

Any common faults or something i'm missing?

Throttle body in the engine bay?

Fan in the Air con/interior light?

You sure it's not coming from inside the interior light?

You're right its coming from the interior light next to the review mirror...whats causing it and can i stop it?

Interior climate control fan it comes like that factory standard

how do you take the cover off to clean it?

Flat blade screw driver wrapped in a cloth should sort it mate.

that was nice and easy....dusty fan but cleaning it made no difference... never mind least I know its not something to be worried about. New car new noises

You can get a new fan and just swap old for new

I wrapped mine in silicone tape, then the light housing in silicone tape too to stop any vibration, worked perfectly lol
