Humming noise?

Car  clio 182
Hi all just changed the front lower ball joints and now when turning left theirs a humming/whining noise, any ideas?

also when changing the ball joints noticed the new parts looked slightly different(bevelled edge) to the ones coming off?

Just lookin at the underside and notice the passenger side drive shaft is leakin could this be what causing the noise

driveshaft normally makes a knocking noise?
its definitely not a knocking noise. I have bought a new wheel bearing for the drivers side as the noise seems to be worse when going left. We had the passenger side drive shaft out yesterday and everything looked fine???

Yeah that'll be wheel baring. Try turning right at quite high speed, if it gets quieter then it'll be wheel baring as you'll be taking pressure off the drivers side wheel which wont make as much of a noise. Or just jack the car up, spin the wheel and if its making that noise still then its the wheel baring.

The noise does ease off when turning right but the their doesn't seem to be any noise when the car is jacked up, and theirs no play in any of the wheels. We were questioning it due to the noise not being their before we changed the lower ball joints?

All i can think of is wheel barings if its not driveshaft or ball joints. Does it make the sound if you put your clutch down when driving along? But you will have to listen really carefully and compare it to the other wheels, mine went and it was fucked, and when i tested it, it was really hard to hear but you could definately tell it was gone when com paring it to the other wheels.

Yer you can hear it slightly when driving straight but it is a 100 times worse going round left corners. When the clutch is dipped its still their? The ball joints are brand new

Tbh mate i dont have a clue what it could be now :/ if i were you i'd get diagnostics from a few garages. Or wait to see if anyone on here knows. All i could think of was wheel barings but if it was that then it wouldn't make the noise when the clutch is down. Wish i could help mate :(

why wouldnt it make the noise if the clutch was dipped? surely if its the bearing it would make the noise regardless of the clutch being dipped or not?

sorry mate my mind went all wierd Lol. If the driveshaft goes then it stops when the clutch is down

Mine makes a humming / squealing noise too. It's not there all the time so I do t think it's a wheel bearing - is your noise constantly there?

Mine seems worse when turning right. Took it to garage but he couldn't find anything wrong. Told me I'll have to live with it for now until it's persistent - he'll have better chance of diagnosing it if he can hear it but sods law, it run like a champ when he had it in
