Humming on Cup

Hi all,

Just noticed that I have developed a a weird humming noise from under the car when driving, its been getting worse over the past week. Any views????????????

I thought as much, what shoud I tell the dealer, as I hear they are reluctant to change the part (what is the actual part they replace)?

My car recently went in for its 12k service, they replaced my center section as it was rattling all under warranty - i didnt even know it was rattling!

My dealer confirmed 18K 1st service, twice!!!

i was told its 12k on the sport/cup. dunno as ive only done 4.5k though. Id love to find out. that engine needs loosening up!

Does it sound Cam related, Thats how mine started with a humming and then developed into whining. Its been diagnosed as the Cambelt tensioner and some loose bracket.

right, service IS 12000 (2 yrs), no matter what reno say! Rattling IS centre exhaust section/heat shield.

Its a Wheel bearing, does it seem to get louder when you go round a roundabout??

Chuck the car from right to left - if the noise get louder/quieter as the weight shifts then its a wheel bearing
