Crickey...that does stick out a fair bit.

Before you go hacking it up I would contact the manufacturers of the exhaust and explain to them why you're not happy with it etc and they may be able to help.

Failing that you could take the car to a place that does custom exhausts and thay could modify it for you....not too sure on locations for this one but sure someone will know of a good place.

its a full scorpion system so there isnt really much point contacting them, their reply will be something along the lines of, "it was purpose made for that model car blah de blah, nothing we can do"

i thought of going to a custom place but i had to go to SEVEN garages to find one to fit this!!

none wanted to do it as they didnt supply it, im thinking this is because all id pay for is labour meaning they cant rip me off with excessive costs for the part and VAT

I would still contact them as it's worth a go...I can't see how they can expect to sell exhausts which stick out that far...it can't be right.

  Turbos.
I remember when i had a k-tec exhaust on my 1.2, it stuck out a bit but they managed to to do something to it.

man, its like something out a james bond film, its like its ready to fire off rounds at anything that gets too close

oh dear that does stick out a fair bit - i reckon you should at least try talkin to scorpion - you never know if you dont ask. failing that then just chop the fucker in half

contact whoever fitted it & ask them if they'd like their exhaust stuck out that far.. kick off.. failing that, its a custom exhaust place to "modify" it slightly..

if i modify it it would invalidate my warranty though surely? bugger it, il be going to a custom place sometime soon as i want it cut into the bumper so il just get them to fix it while im there

Definately will invalidate warranty modifying it so hassle Scorpion or fitters first and then take it from there.

looks like a james bond style oil slick shooter, who fitted it? get onto them

dont think hassling the fitters will help, all they can do is bolt it to the existing fixtures that were already there using the fixtures already on the exhaust, have been to the scorpion site , they dont actually sell them, it'l be like a wholesale thing where they sell to distributors, also on the site under contact us bit theres no way i can supply them with a picture.

il contact the place i bought it from but dont hold out much hope, i would presume once its been fitted theres not much can be done in way of refunds, and i no longer have my old exhaust.

will email him with the pics and see what he sais though

have emailed Scorpion and the people who supplied me, with pics and let them know im not at all happy

will just have to wait on a response

will let you know how it goes

ok, heres the latest, the people who supplied me have been on to scorpion.

Turns out scorpion make 2 different sized car pipes for different model clios, i have been given the wrong sized pipe

scorpion suggest i take it somewhere and have the cat cut to fit then move the backbox back, but as i said earlier i cant understand how that is possible as the backbox hangs on the rubber fixture akready on the car which would mean that also needs moved.

i have got onto scorpion and basically told them where to go, i shouldnt have to modify an exhaust supposedly specifically made for my car, all at my expense, i have demanded the correct pipe

i await their reply

next update soon

p.s, what do i say if they say no, im no good at arguments

you just tell them that its not good enough, and oyu'd expect better service from such a well respected company. Basically compliment the company, and put forward that you are very dissapointed, dont get angry if you can avoid it

also, which i forgot to mention in my reply to scorpion, was that today was the first time i had the car on a motorway since it was fitted and there is a definite loss in power, i dont know if it's due to the fact it was torrential ran and gale force winds or now im thinking that its because i have the wrong cat pipe.

if im in neutral the car revs as normal but in top gear there is no pull
