Personally I don't see how your car did get on there, barry boy cars to me are one's with no thought to mods at all, plus bits done on the cheap (cars with just silly wings shoved on & lexus lights mainly)
Your car, although not normally to my taste, looks like its had a few quid spent on it & it looks like its been done professionally. I can see where the work & effort has gone
I wish people on 'barryboys' would get a grip sometimes.

i've seen a few cars posted on there that are modded and the barryboys dont really want to slate them.. they let things slide if they are an improvement over standard and of a good build quality................something that 95% of after market parts are not...
i've got some dtm mirrors next to me for my 5gtt and they look ok..................but...........to adjust them you have to poke the mirror with you finger.. your fecking finger!?!?! WTF
theres no handle to adjust them so to me there not a mod/improvement at all, there a step back, a down grade and therefore not going near my car.. this goes with other parts too, you pick them up and realise there total and utter sh1te..
i dont mind a modded car myself but i think most people are blind and have really bad taste

lmao i did thin that about the bodywork on the roof, howevber its been resprayed since those last pics.
It went in crash damaged after someone crashed into it at work, ahsnt done a bad job lol. I havent seen this pcis myself lol.

Those guys are complete w@nkers when it comes to knowing the difference between a car with a 6ft spoiler and a and a straight through exhaust made out of a scaffolding pipe and a well thought out modded car.

I think when the site first started off they had the right idea, but they seem to have run out of the usual sheds (the really badly done cars) so now thay are picking on seriously modded cars which have been planned out & had a lot spent on them
I'm not overly keen on modded cars - but if its been done properly & the thought & effort has gone into it, then fair play to the owners, they don't deserve to be cained.

I love Barryboys! Well I used to, haven't been on there for ages because the novelty's worn off now. I can't bear bodykits or sparkly paint, or lexus lights or any of the other crap which people stick on their cars. I can appreciate subtle, tasteful mods like colour-coding, it's all the ostentatious s**t I don't like.

I don't think the majority of you have the faintest clue what makes a barry car, although Dangerous Dave sort of has the right idea. Whether its had £100, or £10000 spent on it, that doesn't automatically make it not barry. This clown has taken a perfectly good 1.2 Clio and attached copious amounts of filler and a shite bodykit, to achieve what exactly? Its now slower, gets confused for Corsas and at the end of the day, its still a 1.2 Clio! He could have spent the money he's wasted on that on buying a proper car. And don't give me that shite about "not being able to afford the insurance". Firstly, most insurance companies will increase your premium if you mod your car (and declare it. If you aren't declaring it, you aren't insured and you may as well not bother). Secondly, if he hadn't have wasted that money on doing that to it, he could have no doubt put that money towards insurance anyway.

Be honest with your self "Gaddafi", If i wanted a fast car, I could have bought one for the labour bill alone. All mods are declared there fore the insurance is as much as a performance car, so yea, I could have hada genuinely nice fast car (I could probably afford to buy and insure a 172 for what this car owes me) But I didnt, why? Because I didnt want to, Im still a kid, I've had my license for less than 2 years, I would probably end up killing myself or even worse someone else if I had some performance. I'm young, I work hard anbd this is my hobby this is how i choose to spend my money.
Im extremely happy with my life, I've got enough money, a loving family, a beautiful girlfriend and great mates. On top of this I've got a car I WANTED. Are you happy with your life?
