E92 M3,172 track car
I was fitting my sports cat the other night so the car was up in the air. When I had it all bolted up, I blipped the throttle to check for leaks. I got back up to turn the engine off but the door was locked, I nearly died. The RAID must have kicked in even though it was in neutral.
We thought about various ways to get in, removing fuses etc. I even whipped the negative off of the battery in the hope the car would stall and reset the system. The car just carried on running.
In the end, I realised the passenger door was slightly open and I squeezed a steel rod in and popped the switch.
My question is, should this happen again, how would I bypass it?
I appreciate this may be a sensitive subject and may be a security risk advising of such methods so PM away if you think there may be a problem.
Other than buying the 2nd key or breaking a window, what would I do?
